Overview
How can a Physiotherapy Clinic help with Weight Loss and Management?
Physiotherapy seeks to improve strength, flexibility, and minimise injuries of one’s body. Our holistic weight loss and management program combines both exercise and dietary advice to meet your weight loss goals. Exercise is one of the key interventions to a successful bariatric surgery, both pre-surgery and post-surgery. In fact, physiotherapy clinics often advocate being active as it helps to:
- Preserve lean muscle mass and decrease body fat
- Improve overall muscle strength
- Minimise loose skin after bariatric surgery
- Continue assisting in weight loss after surgery
- Preventing weight gain
